Die Band gehört zu den weltweit besten, wenn es im den Swing (...) geht, die von legendärischen Orchester wie Duke Ellington, Fletcher Henderson und McKinneys Cotton Pickers geprägt wurde.  

Mit ausgefeilten Arrangements und exquisiten Soloparts riss Andors Jazz Band das Publikum (...) zu lautstarken und begeistertem Applaus hin.

That the band sounds equally at home with extremes of material between 1917 and 1938,  is a tribute both to the wide knowledge and understanding of evolving jazz styles displayed by the eight splendid musicians involved in this recording, and to their obvious love and respect for the whole range of music concerned. The basic volume of the band is moderate, leaving room for a wide range of dynamics and dramatic effects. (...) Nur wenige Bands der Jazz-scene schaffen es bei enem Autritt bereits während ihres ersten Stückes dem Publikum begeisterte Bravo-rufe zu entlocken, gefolgt von tobendem Applaus.

 

Nun, da gibt es so viele schöne Dinge zu entdecken,(…): Die trickreichen, überwiegend selbst gemachten Arrangements mit einigen für diese Musik typischen überraschenden Endungen (…); der intelligente Einsatz verschiedener Instrumenten-Kombinationen zur Veränderung der Klangfarben. (…) überraschende Unterbrechungen im Musikfluss (…)der gelegentliche Mix verschiedener klassischer Band-Stile  (…) ja sogar Zitate aus späteren Bebop-Passagen (…) nicht zu vergessen die abwechslungsreichen Solos von jedem dieser fantastischen Musiker, jederzeit unterstützt von der soliden, immer transparenten Rhythmusgruppe. As soon as I went in I was struck by the sheer quality of the music. (…) They were playing acoustically, only using microphones for songs and announcements. That meant that the the true tone of the instruments was able to come through to the audience. Secondly the band played in a way that I can only describe as caressing the music. (…)

All the classic big band qualities are embraced by Andor's music (...) Their performance represents the latest stage in a distinguished line of Netherlands jazz and hot dance music which reaches back to those pre-war years. (...) Mini-Big-Band überrascht die Jazz-Freunde

....... ließen die Atmosphäre eines Ballrooms der frühen 20er entstehen, der Zeit von Charleston, Shimmy und Black-Bottom. Song auf Song wurde bejubelt, die Musiker schwammen auf einer Welle der Sympathie. Das mitreißende Spiel van der Molens, die witzigen Einfälle, etwa wenn Hans Koppes unmittelbar hintereinander Sousafon und Piccoloflöte einsetzte, und das solistische Können der anderen machten den Besuch im Jazz-Club zum Erlebnis der besonderen Klasse.
